From Taylor – “Our small-body GC guitars are intimate and curvy, yet with volume that belies their size. The slotted peghead and short-scale (24 7/8-inch) neck deliver a more “woody” tone and an unbelievably easy feel on the fretboard. The mahogany/cedar GC5 is a fingerstyle dream.”

Bob Taylor originally set out to build professional level acoustic guitars that played as easily as a high end electric guitar – and he sure has succeeded with that mission. This one has a super playable neck with mid-low action that is comfortable in all positions.
This Taylor GC-5 is essentially the same as their 512 Grand Concert series, but with a smaller body, slotted peghead and no cutaway.
This guitar has been played primarily at home and has been well cared for. It shows virtually no sign of player wear including no pick marks, which is amazing for a guitar without a pickguard. Back and sides are super clean. Very little fret wear with lots of life left.
This GC-5 is over 10 years old, so the wood has matured and settled, and it sounds great. There are no structural or cosmetic issues, and this instrument plays better than any brand new equivalent.
We've come to expect quality and innovation from Taylor, and this guitar reflects that expectation. The fit and finish is excellent, and top-shelf appointments like the beautifully crafted slotted peghead, ebony fingerboard and gorgeous abalone rosette make this a real beauty, with sound to match.
Comes in its original Taylor hard shell case in good condition.
