Here’s a great example of everything you’ve ever needed in a rock guitar.
Designed in collaboration with Eddie Van Halen and Peavey, the Wolfgang EVH is designed to cover as many tonal bases as possible, as simply as possible. From silky smooth playability on its super fast neck to a thick scooped sound that can just as happily colour in the background as it can tear through to the forefront.
From Hartley Peavey - "For as long as I've been playing guitar, I've always been searching for a certain feel and tone...I've experimented by tearing apart and reassembling hundreds of guitars in different ways searching for these qualities. Although I've ruined a lot of great guitars by having done this, I have learned what it takes to make a truly great guitar. The Wolfgang, after years of trial and error, (for me) is that guitar. Our collective efforts in designing the Wolfgang guitar have resulted in a versatile, quality-crafted guitar that feels great, sounds great and is truly inspiring to play. I've already put mine to the test in the studio and on tour and now it's your turn."
It features a solid basswood body, two knobs (volume and tone), three-way pickup toggle switch, two humbucker pickups, oil-finished bird's eye maple neck and fingerboard with dual graphite reinforcement rods, ten-degree tilt headstock, a Floyd Rose tremolo bridge, plus Schaller mini M6 tuners.
If you’re looking for a guitar good enough for Eddie Van Halen that can do pretty much everything except empty your bank account, the Wolfgang Special is the way to go.
The sound is thick and heavy but retains a crisp definition that can be heard even with gobs of distortion. The neck is super fast and comfortable everywhere, bends are easy and lightning fast runs are effortless. The upper register on this guitar is really something special. All the way up to the 22nd fret, full step bends and heavy vibratos are not only easy but still have the same dynamic responsiveness as the rest of the neck, making for a true singer of a guitar. The body is extremely comfortable sitting or standing, and the light weight allows for hours of practicing and performing. The construction is impeccable – this guitar can take tons of abuse and still play wonderfully.

This one is owned by a pro player who has used this extensively live and in the studio. It has had its original Peavey humbuckers replaced with active EMG 81 and 85 units, which sound huge.
The Floyd Rose trem bridge also features a “D Dropper” which is an extension behind the low E string saddle which drops the E to a perfect D with a flick of the wrist.
This guitar was built in Leakesville, Mississippi, and came out of the USA Peavey Wolfgang Custom Shop. It is in very good condition and plays just as Eddie envisioned.
The total control from the player and balance of tone and power makes it a worthy instrument that will stand the test of time everywhere from a bedroom shredder to a stadium showstopper.
And of course, since the sad news of Eddie’s passing, these EVH guitars are already going up in value.
Comes in its original hard case in excellent condition, along with original signed spec sheet and tool kit with all you need to adjust everything on this guitar including the Floyd trem bridge.
