Martin started designing the 000-30 Authentic 1919 by examining an actual 1919 000-30 (they only built two back in the day) and cataloging every detail of that amazing instrument. From the premium tonewoods to the spot-on detailing, to the historically accurate bracing and hide-glue construction, the Martin 000-30 Authentic 1919 is as perfect as it gets.
Remaining true to its origins, the 000-30 Authentic 1919 is meticulously crafted with dovetail neck joint, solid Adirondack spruce top with Vintage Tone System, solid Madagascar rosewood back and sides with a Vintage Gloss finish, a grained ivoroid bound, black ebony fingerboard inlaid with abalone 1919 snowflakes and a black ebony bridge.
Martin Guitars has perfected a unique way of torrefying the top woods and braces of their guitars to achieve the sound of an aged and broken-in Martin. The Vintage Tone System (VTS) ages the woods to a specific age/time period without the change in colour that typically results from the torrefaction process. A special Vintage Gloss Finish is then hand-applied to give the guitar the colouring of a vintage instrument. Martin’s VTS series guitars not only look like vintage guitars, they also have that sought-after sound.

This is a very special instrument. At 3.62 lbs it is fly-away light and lively. The sound is superb as would be expected from this level of build. The workmanship and attention to vintage detail is as good as you can get – Martin really pull out the stops on their limited edition vintage spec instruments, including the Martin brand logo being impressed on the back of the headstock which is correct for the period. It doesn’t show up in our photos because the impression is very light, but it’s there.
This one is in perfect, as new condition. There are absolutely no marks, scratches or blemishes of any kind. It is essentially a new guitar at a way better than new price. These 000-30 models are very hard to find, and we think this is possibly the only 000-30 Authentic 1919 available for sale in Australia.
Getting your hands on a Martin 000-30 Authentic 1919 is like playing a true vintage acoustic guitar. Every detail was re-created in meticulous detail. Playing this virtually new guitar is a rewarding experience right now, and it will only get better over time.
Comes in its original Martin hard case in new condition.
