The carved solid spruce top sits over laminated flame maple back and sides, with the figure running right across the back, and multiple binding frames the whole body. The bound ebony fingerboard carries split pearl hump block inlays, and the black headstock has the pearl Gretsch logo and Synchromatic script. The gold hardware, the harp tailpiece, the Grover Imperial tuners and the bound tortoise pickguard complete a look that’s equal parts jazz club and golden-era Gretsch.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe sound matches the looks. A single High Sensitive Filter’Tron pickup in the neck position gives a warm, clear and articulate tone, with smooth lows, a sweet midrange and the chime that Filter’Tron pickups are known for.
