From Fender –
“The popular Road Worn series instruments struck a chord with guitarists with their aged, well-played look and feel and their incredible value.
New Road Worn Player series guitars take the experience a step further with modern player-centric modifications including hotter pickups for smouldering, gritty tone and a flatter fingerboard for smooth, effortless bends.
Lightly aged with care, Road Worn Player guitars feel immediately comfortable and familiar, offering endless miles of musical inspiration.
The Road Worn Player Stratocaster guitar has an alder body with a lightly worn lacquer finish, modern "C"-shaped maple neck with lightly worn urethane finish, maple fretboard with 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets, Texas Special single-coil pickups, five-way switching, aged knobs and switch tip, three-ply pickguard, vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge, and deluxe gig bag.”

This particular Road Worn Strat has had a bit of work done to make it look even more like a vintage guitar – which it actually isn’t.
The back of the neck has been sanded, the MIM sticker has been removed, and the neck plate is likely a replica.
The pickups have been replaced with Fender’s Noiseless Strat pickups, and they sound just fine …. and noiseless ! There are two other Fender pickups included in the sale, one being a Fender ST N, & we are not sure of the model of the other – see pics.
And the bridge saddles are good quality units from Callaham.
While it is certainly dressed up to look timeworn, most importantly, this guitar actually feels old – in a good way. It plays very nicely with a medium low action with plenty of adjustment available either way. The medium jumbo frets are in good condition with plenty of life left, the truss rod works fine and the vintage tuners hold tuning well.
Fender’s original Road Worn series were very popular and highly regarded instruments, as well as being seriously good value – and this guitar certainly fits into that category.
Comes in a quality Fender gig bag in good condition.
