This is a Fender Japan Classic 69 Telecaster Blue Paisley reissue of the iconic USA Paisley Teles originally from 1968-70.

The bright Blue Paisley finish is quite stunning – a real head turner. There is no lifting or cracking around the edges which is a problem on some paisley guitars. The poly finish is clean and shiny in all areas.

The P serial number designates a CIJ instrument from 2002-2003, and the neck socket is stamped with TL 69, identifying it as a 1969 Telecaster reissue.

This high quality blue beauty was bought by its current owner about six years ago. He has used it sporadically and looked after it beautifully during that time. it has been used primarily at home, recording and for a few gigs. The metal parts exhibit only minor natural ageing and apart from a few expected very minor marks this guitar presents in almost pristine condition.

Actually we can barely see much player wear at all – this one is in amazing shape for an almost 20 year old guitar.

It plays well with a comfortable mid C neck profile. The frets are in good condition showing only minor wear from 1 to 5, and with plenty of life left. And the pickups are fabulous – big Tele sounds with lots of tonal variety between the pickups.

We have seen a few Pink Paisley Tele reissues, but no Blue Paisleys before this one – and it’s a beauty. The Blue ones are relatively hard to come by, and even harder to find in excellent condition like this one.

Comes in a Gator hard shell case in good condition.
