The 1962 Wilshire Reissue Custom Historic brings that sharp, slightly rebellious design back with period-correct detail. This one was built by Gibson Custom in Nashville, which puts it well above a standard production Epiphone for build quality and finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eIt looks the part. The white finish is clean and bright against a big black pickguard, with a rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays and a black headstock carrying the Epiphone logo. The chrome hardware and cream tuner buttons give it a sharp, vintage look. It’s from 2009, with serial number 901342 stamped on the back of the headstock.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe sound is where a P-90 Wilshire earns its keep. A P-90 has more bite and grit than a humbucker and more body than a typical single coil. That means a punchy, rich tone with plenty of growl when you push it, and a warm, articulate clean sound when you back off. It suits blues, garage rock, indie, classic rock and anything that wants some attitude.
