If you're looking for a played-in, gig-ready OM, take a look at this 2012 Collings OM1A with Adirondack spruce top. The Collings OM1A is well-loved for being a no-frills tone producer, capable of tackling anything from bluegrass to Celtic fingerstyle with equal amounts of vigour.
This guitar was built with slightly lighter Adirondack bracing and wood sets that were specifically chosen for their lighter weight as well as their tone and beauty. During the build process the top and back were graduated to be slightly thinner as well. You might not notice the weight difference when you pick it up, but just play it for a moment and you'll see how this guitar comes to life so easily. Superb response, beautiful sustain - this guitar seriously sings and lets its presence be known.
The Adirondack Spruce top is paired with Mahogany back and sides, accented with Rosewood binding on the front and back of the body. A really nice, elegant touch here is the Brazilian Rosewood headstock overlay - it's a small thing that brings a lot aesthetically to this tonal wonder. It has a 1 3/4" nut width with 2 1/4" string spacing and is a wonderfully comfortable player.

This 2012 Collings OM1A Light Build acoustic guitar will make any fingerstyle player swoon over its lively, dynamic sound. This was one of only four in a very limited run of Collings Light Builds, with Bill Collings having his hands on this one and personally signing the internal label.
This guitar does have some cosmetic flaws including a repaired split just below the top bout (shown in picture 9), repaired by Len Biglin (Newcastle) and checked by respected Sydney luthier Jeff Mallia. There are some small dents in the headstock, and some light scratches on the back but nothing too offensive. These few marks are purely superficial and have no impact on the beautiful sound and playing condition of this great guitar.
An earlier owner had installed a clear pickguard which has been replaced by a black Martin style pickguard installed by Jeff Mallia. This guitar has a K&K Pure Mini Pickup installed which sounds fantastic.
Guaranteed you won't want to put this 2012 Collings OM1A down for a second, it absolutely sings! The perfect gigging guitar or inspiration required to write your next hit song!
Original hard case included in great condition.
