This is a fine example of a late pre-CBS Stratocaster, with typical features for the time. The neck sports the older style small headstock with the spaghetti logo of the period. The lovely dark rosewood fingerboard has the earlier clay dot inlays that would be phased out at the end of 1964, replaced by pearloid dots.

This L Series Strat has obviously been a well loved instrument. It wears its battle scars proudly – testament to a great instrument that deserves to be PLAYED, and clearly has been. And yes, the pickguard is what it is, but it’s original. And there are some worn patches, dents and dings, but the original nitro has not been tampered with.
It weighs in at a light 7.3 lbs – feels just fine & has tone to burn.
This is a naturally aged piece of history from Fender’s golden era, with an original finish that no amount of modern day relicking could replicate. It’s the real deal.
Comes in its original black rectangular Fender case in OK condition.
