For years, European guitar builders have challenged the status quo with cutting-edge designs that meld ergonomics, eye-grabbing style, and state-of-the-art electronics. Germany’s Sandberg Guitars has definitely made a mark in this genre. With its California line of instruments, Sandberg takes the classic Fender bass platform and adds some Teutonic flair.
The Sandberg TM2 is a very versatile bass. With a classic ash body, maple neck & ebony fretboard, this combination delivers punch and clarity with brilliant low end definition and a crisp top end.
Like its American inspiration, the California T series has its roots firmly planted in Jazz Bass territory. The body follows classic Fender style lines, and the neck is securely fixed with six counter-sunk bolts.
Twin Delano humbuckers running through an onboard switchable 2 band active preamp with split coil switch. This is one versatile bass giving you everything from modern snap to retro thump.
The neck is slim and fast, measuring 45mm at the nut. String spacing at the bridge is 18mm. And it features a zero fret to deliver consistent string tones whether fretted or open.
Hand made in Germany, Sandberg basses represent great value for money. The build quality is top notch, they are tonally superior with one of the fastest feeling neck profiles ever created. Sandberg has become a most respected bass brand in a relatively short time, marrying quality materials with superior workmanship and enduring, classic design.

This Sandberg California TM2 bass is in virtually new condition. It has been played at home, and probably never seen a reahearsal studio, let alone a stage. Which is a shame, because it deserves to be played, loud and proud …. and to be heard.
This one is pretty and young, with no marks to show for its first birthday. Nothing has been altered, and the plastic is still on the pickguard. This bass is super comfortable with great ergonomics. It is balanced and it is light, with substantial growl, bite and beef to its tone.
Comes in its quality Sandberg gig bag in new condition.
