This National Style 0 Deluxe Model Resophonic Guitar was made in Los Angeles, California in 2003. The Style O Deluxe is the modern National Company’s enhanced version of one of their most popular all-time models, the Style O.
It has the traditional decoration with added hand-engraved wriggle patterns and double cut lines bordering the body. The position markers have been upgraded from dots to mother-of-pearl diamonds.
The neck is beautifully figured maple with an engraved ivoroid headstock overlay and matching heel cap. The tuners are vintage style 3-on-a-strip in burnished brass colour with ivoroid buttons.
This is a very attractive and fine-sounding instrument – not exactly a vintage re-issue, but with lots of character.

This guitar is all original with no repairs or alterations – not even a strap button added to the heel. It has never worn a pickup, and has no extra holes or modifications of any kind. This National sounds great, looks stunning, and plays cleanly. There is some light tarnishing of the metal in places, but absolutely no dings, dents, depressions or dimples.
There are no structural issues and most importantly, no rattles. It is certainly loud, but not harsh. This one plays beautifully, with a rich, clear voice, and lots of character.
This one is basically as it left National in 2003. A very nice modern single-cone resonator guitar with lovely, subtle decoration and a powerful sound.
Comes in a quality Dobro branded hard shell case which fits perfectly.
