From National –
“The ResoRocket N has all the best features of the Bendaway body combined with the shine of a highly polished nickel finish. The guitar is highlighted by the thoroughly modern coverplate pattern, setting off the distinctive Tricone-style grill work on the soundports. The hard-rock maple neck is capped by an ivoroid-bound Rosewood fingerboard with diamond-shaped inlays and a distinctive pearloid overlay on the solid headstock. The modified body at the 17th fret allows you easy access to the high notes, making this this one of the most versatile and handsome single-cone National guitars ever.”

A big bonus with this one is that it is fitted with an excellent Highlander IP-1X Inline National Guitar Pickup with preamp, which is worth around $400 on its own.
The Highlander IP-1X Inline Pickup/Preamp System is specifically designed for single cone biscuit bridge National Resonator style guitars. This system includes a replacement biscuit with an embedded pickup sensor, an inline preamp, an external power unit and a stereo cable.
The IP-1X pickup’s flexibility enables it to be installed in a circular groove that is pre-slotted into the underside of the included replacement biscuit bridge. The pickup is ideally positioned to capture the complex tone and power of the resonator guitar. And all the hard work is done – the installation job has been carried out well.
Reso Rockets are possibly the acoustically loudest and most versatile of the Nationals range. This one is in great condition. Unusually for many metal bodied instruments, this one shows only a little light tarnishing, which could probably easily be cleaned if required.
But does it sound good? Why, YES. It delivers that vintage National tone with some solid punch and a versatile sonic palate. It is fun to play and perfect for slide, with the cutaway allowing for better access to the upper frets, as well as significantly lightening the instrument, making for a much more comfortable experience.
It comes with its Highlander pickup, preamp & documentation, stereo cable, spare biscuit, National catalogue booklet with product cards, 2 x CDs and warranty papers.
It has had a pro setup, including radius matching of the saddle and fretboard at the 12th fret.
This is sweet sounding instrument. It has a beautiful well-rounded tone, not just harsh and loud like many resonators – and great for fingerstyle as well as slide. This one is in excellent condition and made to be played.
Comes in its original National hard case in as new condition.
