From Gold Tone –
“The original, and still a best-seller. You’ll find that this mighty mite has real usefulness in acoustic playing situations, but plug it in and the REAL fun begins. Available fretted or fretless, the 23 will have your acoustic amp or bass amp rumbling with big, fundamental bass tone. The sound of the M-Bass through an amp is uncannily like that of an upright string bass. You get big bass magic from an instrument the size of a “baby” guitar, shaped by the built-in piezo pickup’s EQ module (with tuner!). The M-Bass’s nato mini-dreadnaught cutaway body has an arched back and comfort-bevelled top for playing comfort. Gold Tone’s specially developed Aquila high-tension polymer strings are easy on the fingers and really bring out that bottom end.“

This is a little bass with a big whallop of sound. GT’s description is quite right – it does make a good acoustic sound but plug it in and then the fun begins. And yes, it actually does punch out an upright bass tone, without having to own a truck to lug it around.
This model is GT’s MBass 23, which reflects its 23”scale. So it feels soft & easy to play, and it’s not hard to get used to fairly quickly.
It is in excellent condition with hardly any evidence of player wear apart from a very faint surface scratch on the back which can hardly be seen and is impossible to photograph. So this is pretty much a new instrument at a way better than new price.
This is a well made mini bass with big authentic tone and five stars for playability.
Comes in its well padded form fitting GT gig bag in good condition.
