The Godin Acousticaster is a lightweight, Telecaster shaped instrument which is totally hollow – like an acoustic guitar should be. But add the excellent LR Baggs pick up system and you’ve got a very versatile, easy playing accompaniment tool.
The one piece maple neck is capped with a maple fingerboard. It has a two chamber mahogany body with a solid maple top.
It has a nice slim taper medium profile neck, which lends itself to hours of comfortable playing. In fact the whole package feels more like an electric guitar to play, but with bronze strings it still projects a decent acoustic sound.
This one is actually a special guitar. We have seen a few Godin Acousticasters, but none quite a pretty as this one. It is a Limited Edition TS6, which is kind of like Godin’s Custom Shop guitar.
The Certificate of Authenticity states that it is “hand crafted from the finest of the Godin private reserve woods selected in Quebec, Canada and assembled by hand in New Hampshire USA”.
Built in 1995 it features a stunning quilted maple top finished in a unique Emerald Green. It actually has a bit of blue in it, which adds a degree of luminosity and depth to the colour in the way it shows off the lovely quilting in the maple.

There is no fret wear, the original black & gold Schaller locking tuners work perfectly, truss rod is fine. There are a few very light marks almost impossible to see, but no real dings, dents or buckle rash. The only change from factory condition is a faulty treble fader replaced with an original spec unit.
This Godin Acousticaster TS6 a quite beautiful piece of guitar craftsmanship which also sounds great. It is light and lively to play with a comfortable medium low action. Overall this one is super clean with no issues. And that translucent Emerald Green finish is quite an eye catcher.
All in all, a great hybrid instrument that covers a lot of ground acoustically & electrically. It presents in excellent condition and is a ton of fun to play.
Comes in its original hard shell Godin case in excellent condition.
