Anyone who has researched the model range of Gibson Les Pauls in recent times knows there are dozens of variations of this all time classic electric guitar. And it’s a given that some are better than others. This is one of the better ones.
The Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus officially debuted in 1995 featuring a traditional deep body carve, 60s taper neck profile and a AAA figured maple top that elevated it above its “Standard” brethren.
This one features a nicely figured top in beautiful Heritage Cherry Sunburst with cream binding and chrome hardware.
This one is from the first year of production, and features the “good spec” of LP Standards. It is non-chambered, regular 60 neck carve, hand wired, non-circuit board electronics, vintage style tuners, a fabulous one piece solid mahogany back, and nickel hardware. And that very pretty figured maple top.

This one is in excellent, virtually new condition. It is unlikely to have ever seen a rehearsal room, let alone a stage. We understand it was very much a “stay at home” guitar and spent most of its life closeted in its Gibson case.
It is super clean everywhere. No tarnishing of the metal parts, no dings, dents, scratches or signs of player wear. The frets are in perfect shape and show no wear. A true Closet Classic presented in stunning, bright sunburst.
The “LPSP” stamp in the rear pickup cavity confirms the model identification. These guitars came with the pickguard enclosed in a plactic bag in the case, but not installed on the instrument. That is the way it remains – the guard and screws are there, ready for installation should a new owner wish to do that.
Most importantly, this Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus plays every bit as nice as she looks.
The 60’s neck carve is super comfortable. Medium low action with no buzz or fretouts even when bending way up anywhere.
Serial number checks out & pot codes are 1379523 = 1995. Both pickups are stamped “Gibson USA” on the back, & have excellent tone and big output.
The guitar is equipped with Kluson style vintage tuners which provide stable tuning. This is a very nice looking, great playing and fine sounding instrument, presented in amazing mint condition.
Comes in its original Gibson hard shell case, with inner shroud, in excellent condition.
