In 1995 Gibson launched their Custom division with the “R9” 1959 Les Paul as their flagship model. This is a beautiful Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection R9 Les Paul built in 2014, which happened to be Gibson’s 120th Anniversary. Many collectors believe that 2014 was one of Gibson’s best years for quality and historic accuracy regarding the R9.

This one is in excellent, almost new condition – only a few tiny nicks & dents, almost impossible to see. It has not seen any battle conditions, probably not leaving the house too often. The Gibson Custom sticker is still on the pickguard. No buckle rash, and not a mark on the top, or on the neck. No cracks, breaks or repairs. The guitar has a beautiful, mellow-aged look to it & has been professionally set up, so it presents in perfect playing condition. And the stunning, booked matched flame maple top is a beauty to behold.
