This is a 2007 Gibson Les Paul Aged Historic 1960 Reissue, model LPR-0, pre-aged by Tom Murphy at the Gibson Custom facility.
Gibson has upped the ante yet with an unparalleled leap in accuracy and vintage vibe in their Aged Historic instruments. The Gibson Custom Shop has achieved obsessive detail and scary-authentic accuracy by studying the materials, manufacturing techniques and specifications of original vintage instruments. The Aged Historic line from the Gibson Custom Shop honours the legacy of some of the most sought after instruments on the planet, paying homage by replicating the finest details and nuances. From new plastics composed of the original vintage spec material, to the double carving of tops and necks to ensure vintage accurate profiles and dishing, these Aged Historic reissues are about as close as it gets to owning a real vintage instrument.
But the eye for detail doesn’t stop there … a new finish process with time-intensive wet sanding by hand completes the package, delivering an instrument that not only looks authentic, but feels and sounds authentic too. Capped off with all hide glue construction and extensive setup process, the Aged Historic line captures the essence of Gibson’s classic vintage pieces to create a new era of classic instruments.
This is a fantastic “Murphy Aged” LPR-0 Authentic model. It is the real deal, with a beautiful bookmatched flame maple top and accurate ageing artistry uniquely created by the Gibson Custom Shop master himself. The look and feel is quite remarkable, and as close as you can get to a true original 1960 model.

This guitar is in excellent condition having been well looked after by a fastidious owner. It is pretty much in the same condition as when bought, except that it feels played-in, and mighty close to a true vintage instrument.
It has a great feeling 1960 profile medium C neck shape neck, which is comfortable departure from the very big necks found on some 1959 reissues.
The pickups on this one are rich in tone, harmonically complex and well balanced. It is an exceptional guitar to play.
Comes in its Lifton style Gibson Brown Hard Shell Case in as new condition, with Gibson Custom Certificate of Authenticity.
