The Gibson Chet Atkins SST is a revolutionary design that combines the best of Gibson’s acoustic and electric guitar technology. The SST is a solid body steel string acoustic-electric designed by the late legendary guitarist and producer Chet Atkins. The SST model was introduced in 1987 and was discontinued in 2006.
Unlike many acoustic-electrics, the SST has no resonating chamber or sound hole. The acoustic sound comes from the bridge mounted transducer with an onboard pre-amp.
This one was born in 1991 and is in amazing condition having just turned 25.

The SST is the perfect acoustic guitar for live music, especially if you like it loud. You can turn this thing up and it will cut through the mix with lots of tone and no feedback. This instrument has few tiny marks on the spruce top, not apparent in normal light. Some very light buckle rash on back, but nothing through the finish. In excellent condition overall. It features gold hardware with controls for volume plus active boost and cut for both treble and bass signals.
This guitar was made at the Gibson Nashville Plant, TN, USA on 8th July 1991. Production Number: 80
Comes in original Gibson hard shell case with interior blanket in good condition.
