From Fender –
“The clean sounds of the Fender ’65 Twin Custom 15 Combo Amp are loud, clear and strong. This custom version of the ’65 Twin Reverb utilizes the 85W chassis of the original, coupled with a slightly modified cabinet and a single 15″ speaker instead of the standard pair of 12s. The speaker is based on the JBL D130F used by Fender in the ’60s and ’70s. Its cast frame, shallow cone, and large voice coil deliver the clean, precise tone characteristic of the Twin but with a fatter bottom end and smooth treble. It also has higher power handling. Black, heavy-duty textured vinyl covering, silver grille cloth, nickel hardware, and a metal badge identifying the model. 2-button footswitch, removable casters, and an embroidered cover are included.”

This Fender ’65 Twin Reissue Custom 15 Combo is an all tube combo amp in near new condition that delivers huge sound in one of the most recognizable amps around. Its single 15” Custom Eminence speaker, delivers 85 watts with ease, and is amazing at providing a super clean and precise tone fit for all genres – jazz, blues, rock, country, surf, whatever. Add some pedals and you’ve got an immensely versatile combo amp that will never let you down.
It has tons of power to gig with, but is also fine for the studio because it delivers quality tone at every volume level. You do not need to turn this up to get to the sweet spot – it’s there from the get-go.
There are two channels (Normal and Vibrato), four 1/4” inputs (two Normal, two Vibrato). The Fender branded 15” Eminence speaker is constructed with a cast frame for extra strength, a shallow speaker cone for extra stage presence and dispersion, and with an aluminium centre cap to help with high-frequency response.
The pre amp section features four 12AX7 and two 12AT7 tubes, with four 6L6 Groove Tubes in the output stage. The inclusion of classic Fender reverb and vibrato sets this amp apart from your average modern combo.
This one is owned by a respected Sydney pro musician – it has been used very lightly, and well looked after. There are no rips or tears in the front grille or black tolex. It has recently had a full service from Fender Australia, including new valves. So there are no structural or electronic issues, and everything is working perfectly.
A major bonus is the inclusion of a separate 2 x 12 baffle featuring two great sounding Celestion G12S-50 speakers, rated at 50 watts each. This provides an excellent option for those wanting the classic Twin Reverb sound. Just remove the 1 x 15” baffle and screw in the 2 x 12, and away you go. It is covered in the correct Fender grille cloth, with a small tear – see pics.
Besides being a truly versatile guitar amp, this Fender ‘65 Custom 15 is a fabulous option for keyboards and particularly great for pedal steel. It delivers “clean” better than just about any other modern tube amp, and is the perfect platform for your favourite pedal setup.
Includes its original Fender footswitch and vinyl cover in as new condition.
