In 2004 the venerated Stratocaster turned 50. The very first ones came off the line in 1954 when Fender was not much more than Leo and a few select craftsmen working out of small premises in southern California.
As a celebration for the most influential electric guitar of all time, Fender introduced this 1954 reissue Stratocaster in 2004. This American 50th Strat features some of the upgrades that had been transferred to the entire American Series line. This commemorative Strat was built with the highest standards in materials and craftsmanship. While staying true to its classic design elements, the 50th Anniv Strat incorporated many of Fender’s more modern improvements to its most iconic model.
A select one piece ash body was combined with fine appointments such as period correct 2-tone sunburst, a modern C shaped maple neck and black dot inlays. Other quality additions include Deluxe Fender/Schaller tuning machines, a deluxe 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge and a commemorative 50th neck plate.
The 50th Anniversary American Series Stratocaster also features three single-coil Fender ’54 replica pickups and 5 way switching. The result is a modern classic – a very versatile instrument with endless tonal possibilities.
This 50th Anniv Strat is in as-new condition. It has no evidence of use – not even any pick wear on the guard, no noticeable fret wear, the metal parts are untarnished and everything works as it should. And it plays & sounds like the definitive Fender classic it was built to celebrate.
Comes in its original 50th Anniversary tweed case with original tags and case candy included – strap, trem arm, cable, cloth, owner’s manual all in the unopened plastic bag.
