Produced in December 1996, this example comes from the first generation of aged Fender instruments, with the Cunetto logo stamped in the body cavity confirming its place in this important and collectible period.

This guitar reflects the refined approach of early relic work, with subtle checking, natural edge wear, and convincingly aged hardware that captures the look and feel of a genuinely played vintage instrument without appearing overdone. The neck is dated October 9, 1996 and carries a John Cruz stamp, highlighting early involvement from one of Fender’s most respected builders during his time in the Custom Shop.
