‘The 000-28VS captures the essence of one of Martin's rarest models - the steel string long scale 12 fret 000-28 built in the late 1920's. The combination of the guitar's large body and 12 fret bridge placement make for an otherworldly playing experience. The tone is big, bold, and balanced, with wonderful overtones and incredible resonance. 
 
Indian Rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top with scalloped braces and herringbone purfling. Ivoroid bound body, zigzag back strip, and pyramid bridge with through-saddle. 12 fret neck with ebony fingerboard, slotted diamond inlays; slotted headstock with old-style logo and Waverly open-geared tuners; bone nut and saddle. Modified V neck carve, 1-13/16" nut width, 25.4" scale.’

This beautiful 000-28VS embodies the rich classic sound of authentic East Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce, bound in bold herringbone with vintage appointments. The resonant scalloped bracing allows natural harmonics and woody tone to bloom with every note. 

The 000 acoustic body style is known for a great balance between bass and treble without the excessive bass overtones or woofiness you can sometimes get from larger body styles. They are also known as great live performance guitars that don't feedback where other larger body styles sometimes do. Many Martin players prefer a 000-28 to the company’s D series guitars for this reason. 

This Martin 000-28VS is a fine specimen, it has hardly been played and has never left the house since it’s purchase in 2014. As a result, other than one very small mark on the back, the guitar is blemish free, and for all intents, this guitar is in as near-new, mint condition. The guitar plays beautifully, with that warm, rich tone that you would expect from a high-end Martin. It is a treasure to look at and a dream to play.

This Martin is equipped with an aftermarket X2 Double Acoustic pickup that amplifies the guitars natural tone beautifully. All electronics work as they should.

Comes in its original Martin hard case in new condition.
